Week 5, Chinese........

This week I made a Chinese dish called lagman. This dish is made with handmade noodles. The noodles are thicker than spaghetti and really delicious. Along with the noodles, it has beef, bell pepper, cabbage, onion, tomato, garlic, cilantro, cumin, and coriander. I also used this dish for my instructions, so if you want the recipe you can check it out on the discussion board.
Lagman is one of my favorite foods. It's popular in China, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and all across central Asia. So when I'm in Central Asia, it's always the first thing I want to eat.
Anyways, check out the recipe. It's a really great, home-cooked meal, that most anyone would enjoy.

  1. Carbs and beef, this is definitely my favorite, too! The only problem is that you didn't make enough. Now I might to have to follow your directions and cook it on my own. Good luck to me!

  2. That looks amazing, too bad I cannot eat it! Maybe if I made it with whole wheat noodles, it would be okay. That is amazing that you have the liberty to travel! My dream is to travel to South Africa!

  3. I admire the fact that you have to drive to make your own noodles. I really would not know where to start. I think I am going to have to check out your instructions and give it a try. I am all about a challenge and of course the bigger mess I can make in the kitchen the better. Since the rule here is who ever cooks does not have clean up duty :)
